An apparatus and method for processing video data is disclosed. In an embodiment, the video data processing apparatuscomprises a decoding unit configured to decode a frame image, divided into a number of slices and then encoded, on a slice basis and to deblock-filter a number of the decoded slices except boundary portions between the decoded slices and a slice edge deblock filter unit configured to comprise a number of slice edge deblock filters operated in conjunction with the decoding unit and to in parallel deblock-filter the boundary portions between the decoded slices using a number of the slice edge deblock filters. Accordingly, the boundary portions between slices can be efficiently deblock-filtered. |
