<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure an overlapping portion of predetermined size between shell elements when the shell elements are superposed, and to enhance handling properties, a storage efficiency and a transportation efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the tandem type pneumatic booster, a shell body 23 is constituted by bonding respective cylindrical parts of a front shell 21 having a relatively long cylindrical part 65 and a rear shell 22 having a relatively short cylindrical part 66 to each other, and an opening edge part 67a of a cylindrical part 67 of a center shell 24 and an outer peripheral bead 26a of a diaphragm 26 of a rear side power piston 28 are arranged on the bonding part 68 of the shell body. The respective cylindrical parts 65, 66, 67 of the front shell 21, the rear shell 22 and the center shell 24 are formed to the truncated conical shape in which a diameter is gradually enlarged toward an opening end side respectively, and fitting depth when they are superposed is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
