<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer cartridge and a developing unit that enhance toner recirculation between a developing device and the developer cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The developer cartridge 8 includes: a first accommodating unit 81 that accommodates developer and is arranged horizontally adjacent to the developing device 7 when the developer cartridge 8 is attached to the developing device 7; first and second openings W11 and W12 formed in the neighboring wall 81A of a wall that forms the first accommodating unit 81, which is adjacent to the developing device 7; an agitating member (first agitator A1) disposed in the first accommodating unit 81 and rotated in slide contact with the neighboring wall 81A in a vertical direction. The first opening W11 is opened obliquely downward from the first accommodating unit 81 to the developing device 7, so as to connect them.
