<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable parking brake improving the quietness and comfort of a brake lever operation. <P>SOLUTION: The parking brake is equipped with a damper 50 having an engaging end 51 engaged/disengaged to/from teeth 31 of a rachet plate 30. The damper 50 can rock about the rocking center of a pole 40, and at least the engaging end 51 is made of synthetic resin. The engaging end 51 is separated from a claw end 41 of the pole 40 at a predetermined interval, and a distance from the rocking center is set larger than a distance from the rocking center to the claw end 41. In the damper 50 and the pole 40 rocking while a brake lever 20 is braking-operated to pull a brake cable C, the engaging end 51 of the damper 50 hits on the teeth 31 of the rachet plate 30, and then the claw end 41 hits the teeth 31 separated at a predetermined gear cutting pitch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
