PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing circuit which conducts signal processing to perform video display with high quality, as though a video is displayed by a display panel having ideal sub-pixels arranged at equal pitch for the display panel, having a plurality of sub-pixels arranged at non-equal pitches in a predetermined direction, and to provide a video display device. SOLUTION: Signal processing circuits 11a, 11b, 11d of the video signal processing circuit 11, each includes a coefficient holding means for holding a coefficient calculated, based on the distance between the position of the sub-pixel in the predetermined direction and the positions of two ideal sub-pixels in the predetermined direction which are arranged at equal pitch in the predetermined direction; a pixel signal select means for selecting two pixel signals, including the pixel signals of the sub-pixel to be corrected from input pixel signals concerning three sub-pixels which are sub-pixels of the same color and closest to each other in the predetermined direction; and a computing means for generating a corrected pixel signal concerning the sub-pixel to be corrected by linear interpolation, by using the pixel values of the two selected pixel signals and the above coefficient.
