PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam shaft and a method for manufacturing the cam shaft capable of improving manufacturing efficiency of the cam shaft and decreasing manufacturing cost of the cam shaft. SOLUTION: A shaft part 11 and a cam part 12 are integrally molded in the cam shaft 10. The plurality of cam shafts 10 are manufactured by cutting the cam shaft assembly at a predetermined cutting part 22 after molding a cam shaft aggregate 20 formed by axially joining the plurality of cam shafts 10 in a same shape at the cut predetermined cutting part 22 arranged in the shaft parts 11.
