PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing winding device by which the size of a spool can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the seat belt device 10, an axial direction regulating piece 82 and a radial direction regulating piece 86 are provided on a back plate 14 of a frame 12. When a webbing belt 24 is drawn with the rotation of a spool 20 in the drawing direction regulated and the spool 20 displaces in the direction perpendicular to its axis, both flange parts 84 of the spool 20 enter into a slit hole 78. In this state, the axial direction regulating piece 82 and the flange part 84 are opposed to each other in the axial direction of the spool 20 so that the axial direction regulating piece 82 interferes with the flange part 84, and the radial direction regulating piece 86 interferes with the outer circumference of the flange part 84. Thus, the displacement of the spool 20 is regulated, and the load acting on the spool 20 when the spool 20 is drawn is supported by the axial direction regulating piece 82 or the radial direction regulating piece 86, namely by the frame 12.
