PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce blocking force of a lid during a warming step and to prevent alteration of an object to be cooked. SOLUTION: An open or closed state of the lid 23 for blocking a top end opening of an inner pot 10 during the warming step is monitored by lid state detecting means (oscillating member 98, photo interrupter 104). When releasing of the lid 23 is detected by the lid state detecting means, valve control means (microcomputer 109) operates driving means (stepping motor 45) of a pressure regulating valve 64 to release a pressed state wherein a valve element 71 of the pressure regulating valve 64 is moved towards a blocked position, allowing the valve element 71 to be moved to a released position by an urging force of an urging member 85, and a vent hole 66 forming a part of an exhaust passage is released. Meanwhile, when blocking of the lid 23 is detected by the lid state detecting means, the valve control means operates the driving means of the pressure regulating valve 64 to move the valve element 71 from the released position to the blocked position in resistance to the urging force of the urging member 85, and maintains this state.
