<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container made of a synthetic resin foam which container is made of synthetic resin foam having a high expansion ratio of the product to have reduced weight, and yet retains enough strength to stand up to use. <P>SOLUTION: The container 1 made of the synthetic resin foam and having a rectangular parallelepiped shape, includes a container body 2 having an opening 29 on its upper surface, and a lid 3 closing the opening. The container body and the lid are made of synthetic resin foam at an expansion ratio of 60 to 70 times. On the exterior surfaces of a pair of opposite sidewalls 20 of the container body, a pair of hand-hooking portions 4 are formed. On the interior surfaces of the sidewalls opposite to parts where the hand-hooking portions are formed, projecting trapezoidal thick-walled skirts 6 are formed to gradually expand from the vicinity of the upper edges of the sidewalls toward the lower edges of the sidewalls in a tapered shape, with projecting corners of the thick-walled skirts being rounded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
