<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel and a projector, wherein the range of transmission of an emitted luminous flux is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel includes: a pair of substrates 4431 and 4432 facing each other, through which visible light is transmitted; and a liquid crystal layer 4433 formed by filling a space between the substrates 4431 and 4432 with liquid crystal molecules. The liquid crystal panel 443 modulates an incident luminous flux through the liquid crystal layer 4433. Of the pair of substrates 4431 and 4432, the emission-side substrate 4432, which is located on the luminous flux emission side of the liquid crystal layer 4433, has lens characteristics that converges a luminous flux emitted to a predetermined focusing position from the liquid crystal layer 4433. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
