PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device improved in booting speed, and a booting method therefor. SOLUTION: The booting method of the electronic device includes a nonvolatile first storage part storing a device initialization file and a device execution file, and a volatile second storage part. The booting method includes steps of: loading the device execution file from the first storage part to the second storage part when initially booting the electronic device; generating reference information for the loaded device execution file; maintaining power supply to the second storage part when the electronic device is powered off; loading and executing, when the device is rebooted, the device initialization file from the first storage part to the second storage part; and executing the device execution file stored in the second storage part in reference to the reference information.
