PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative member and its manufacturing method for simplifying a manufacturing process by defining a boundary of a printing region on a colored surface in the decorative member having the colored surface of a stereoscopic curved surface shape. SOLUTION: In a transparent resin substrate 2 having a colored surface 2b of a three-dimensional shape that is recessed toward a design surface 2a from a reference plane z where a sum of distances from each point on an edge end 2c on the colored surface 2b of the resin substrate 2 gets the minimum, a partition wall 3 surrounding a background part 10 and integrated with the resin substrate 2 is provided on the colored surface 2b of the resin substrate 2. A distal end 3c of the partition wall 3 projects near the reference plane z not to reach the reference plane z. During inkjet printing of the background part 10, ink scattering in a horizontal direction is blocked by the partition wall 3. Thus, the ink is not blown in a luminous part 11 and a clear boundary of the background part 10 can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
