PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-metal composite housing easy in mounting a metallic heat radiating member to a case and efficiently radiating heat in the case. SOLUTION: The housing 1 includes a resin joint part 11 having a through-hole 4 penetrating through the housing 1. The metallic heat radiating member 2 includes a base part 22 joined to the joint part 11, and a plurality of heat radiating protrusions 21 provided to project from the base part 22. After the housing 1 and heat radiating member 2 are manufactured, the heat radiating member 2 is heated, and the joint part 11 is melted by the heat of the heated heat radiating member 2 to integrally join the housing 1 with the heat radiating member 2. Since the housing 1 is manufactured beforehand, the heat radiating protrusions 21 can be disposed in the through-hole 4, and the joint part 11 and the base part 22 can be joined in a non-existing state of resin among the plurality of heat radiating protrusions. Heat is thereby released efficiently from the heat radiating protrusions 21 to suppress a temperature rise in the housing 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
