PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate printer which can continue printing by using other normal head arrays even when a head array unable to restore nozzle clogging by the cleaning operation is generated. SOLUTION: The substrate printer prints a dot inspection pattern on a dot inspection stage by transferring printing image data from a host device to a print head having a multi-head array and an imaging camera, and also performs image processing by delivering picked-up image data of the dot inspection pattern by the imaging camera to an image processing part of the host device. The substrate printer includes a defective head array specifying means which specifies a defective head array in the multi-head array on the basis of the image processing result of the image processing part, and a printing continuation processing means which makes head arrays except the specified defective head array correspond to the printing image data from the host device again. Printing is continued by predetermined sequences by other normal head arrays except the defective head array after processing of the printing continuation processing means.
