PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus which is made compact by minimizing the size of a space used for radiating the heat generated from a light source to be secured in a back cabinet. SOLUTION: A front cabinet 2 is arranged on the periphery of a display panel 1 for displaying a video and the back cabinet 4 is arranged on the back side of the front cabinet 2. An opening 4c is arranged on the back surface of the back cabinet 4 and a heat radiation plate 7a is made to face the opening 4c so that the heat from an LED 7c is radiated toward the space in the opening 4c.
