PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device that ensures a connecting condition of an optical connector. SOLUTION: The light source device 100 includes: an excitation light source 110; two light guide members 120, 160 for guiding exciting light; an optical connector 130 for connecting the two light guide members 120, 160; and a wavelength converting member 170 connected to the light guide member 160. The optical connector 130 comprises a connector member 140 attached to the light guide member 120 and a connector member 150 attached to the light guide member 160. The connector member 140 is provided with two electric contacts 182, 184, while the connector member 150 is provided with an electric contact 192. The electric contacts 182, 184 and the electric contact 192 are arranged so as to come into contact with each other when the light guide members 120, 160 are in an optically coupled state.
