PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured reverse input cutoff unit inexpensively manufacturable in which an output rotary member idles smoothly with respect to even a small reverse input. SOLUTION: The reverse input cutoff unit has a structure including: a cylindrical input rotary member 3 and the output rotary member 4 having an inner cylinder 14 passed through the input rotary member 3, disposed to rotate around the same axis; a coil spring 10 with different diameters at one end side and the other end side attached on the outer peripheral face of the inner cylinder 14 with an interference at a small diameter part 10b; a spring locking part 17 for locking a spring large diameter side hook part 10c to one end side of the input rotational member 3; and a spring engagement part 19 at the other end side of the input rotary member 3 with a prescribed interval in the circumferential direction from a spring small diameter side hook part 10d. According to this structure, the reverse input cutoff unit can be inexpensively manufactured with less number of parts, and the output rotary member 4 idles smoothly even with respect to a small reverse input just for generating sliding between the coil spring small diameter part 10b and the inner cylinder 14.
