PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bilge block capable of improving seismic performance without using a lateral bracing, and a supporting method of a marine vessel. SOLUTION: The bilge block 1 supports a ship bottom of the docking marine vessel. The bilge block has a block body 2 in contact with the ship bottom, and a support stand for supporting the block body 2. The support stand includes a caster part 31 changeable into a ground contact state and a non-ground contact state, and a floating part 32 for generating buoyant force in water. The caster part 31 has a pair of wheels 31a, 31a, a rotary shaft 31b for turnably supporting an axle of the wheel 31a, a bearing part 31c connected to a side surface of the support stand to support the rotary shaft 31b, and a lever 31d changeable into the ground contact state and the non-contact state of the wheel 31a by rotating the rotary shaft 31b.
