<p>Disclosed is a method for the quantitative analysis of red phosphorus in a resin by thermal degradation GCMS, whereby an improved quantification accuracy can be achieved. The method for quantifying red phosphorus in a resin is characterized by comprising: conducting thermal degradation GCMS measurement under preset separation conditions to determine the retention time (A) of red phosphorus; conducting thermal degradation GCMS measurement on a sample to be analyzed and confirming the detection of a mass spectrum peak at the same retention time as the retention time (A); dividing the peak area thus measured by the amount of the sample to determine the peak intensity ratio (B); confirming that, when the height of the peak at m/z=124 in the aforesaid mass spectrum is referred to as 10, the height of the peak at m/z=62 is 1.82 to 2.06 and the height of the peak at m/z=93 is 1.03 to 1.15; then determining the relationship between peak intensity ratio (C) and red phosphorus content for a plurality of standard samples under the same separation conditions; and comparing this relationship with the aforesaid peak intensity ratio (B) to determine the amount of red phosphorus contained in the sample to be analyzed.</p> |
