The module (1) has an input device i.e. rotary switch (5), for assigning identification features to measuring points (6-8). A controller (10) stores and process physical variables captured at the individual measuring points and the identification features. The controller calculates consumed energy from the physical variables. A communication component i.e. web server (22), provides the physical variable calculated from the controller and the associated identification features as output data over a communication interface of an evaluation unit.
