PURPOSE: A multipoint communication method and a system thereof using a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) for securing a minimum meeting holding time are provided to minimize an average media delay time In case a new terminal participates in the multiparty communication. CONSTITUTION: A connection request terminal transmits a connection request message to an arbitrary terminal connected to the multiparty communication. The connection request terminal is introduced the connectable terminal from the arbitrary terminal. A connection response terminal receives a connection request message from a connection request terminal(S410). An average media delay value corresponding to each terminal connected to the multiparty communication and the linked reply terminal selects the connectable terminal.
