The method a first device comprises measuring a signal transmitted from one wireless device to another, determining a value of a metric from an autocorrelation function of the measured signal, and determining an estimate of the quality of the signal from the determined metric. The method is used to determine the presence of a second terminal in a femtocell communicating with a macrocell base station when controlling the transmission power of a first terminal communicating with the femtocell base station so as to mitigate interference with the former. |
