APPARATUS MEASURING A GAS-PROOF ABILITY OF TUBULAR CERAMIC MEMBRANE

PURPOSE: A device for measuring gas-proof ability of a tubular ceramic membrane is provided to accurately and conveniently measure gas-proof ability by measuring a gas leak from a ceramic membrane sample. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring gas-proof ability of a tubular ceramic membrane comprises a chamber(1), a plug(4), pressure gauges(7a,7b), a first valve(8a), a second valve(8b), and a mass flow controller(9). A tubular ceramic membrane sample is inserted into the chamber. A gas inlet and a gas outlet are formed in one side and the other side of the chamber. The plug is connected to the gas inlet and the gas outlet. The pressure gauges measure pressure of the chamber. The first and second valves control flowing gas. The mass flow controller is separated from one side of the chamber.
