<p>The present invention relates to a method of using biologically active peptide compounds comprising the tri-peptide motif KDI derived from the neurite outgrowth-promoting domain of laminin-1 as inhibitors of ionotropic glutamate receptors. The peptide compounds are therefore useful in methods of treating disorders responsive to the blockade of these receptors, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS or stroke.</p> |
