The device (100) comprises a bottom tank (102), a lateral wall, a filling valve of the liquid tank, a drain valve of the liquid tank, a lower grid (112), and a system for homogenizing the grains during humidification. The lower grid is formed at the bottom of a grain soaking chamber (114). The homogenizing system is equipped with a low level detector, a high level detector, a liquid sampling pump placed under the grid in the tank, a control pump activated between the low level and high level liquid, and a liquid distributor disposed above the grain soaking chamber. The regulatory tool is connected with the low level and high level detectors and the liquid sampling pump. The low level and high level detectors comprise an ultrasonic probe, where the low level detector is disposed in the grid and the high level detector is disposed in a top of the soaking chamber. The liquid distributor comprises a grain proportioner. An independent claim is included for a process for soaking grains in a device.
