PURPOSE: A method for preparing a polarizer film is provided to maintain excellent polarization, to prevent light lost at a short wavelength(400-450 nm) and to absorb 400-450 nm wavelength light. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a polarizer film using a naphthalene lyotropic liquid crystal composition comprises: a short wavelength coating step for forming a short wavelength absorption layer by applying a naphthalene lyotropic liquid crystal composition to a base film using shear force, wherein the liquid crystal composition comprises a naphthalenic compound expressed in chemical formula 1, a basic chromonic liquid crystalline compound with a basic functional group, an acidic monomer with an acidic functional group, and a photoinitiator; and a short wavelength curing step.
