PURPOSE: A touch sensitive input unit and a portable terminal having thereof are provided to prevent a light for an operation plate from becoming blurred. CONSTITUTION: A touch sensor(151) is arranged in the rear side of an operation plate to sense a touch operation on the front side of the operation plate. A lighting emitting unit(152) generates light toward the side of the operation plate. A light shield(155) is arranged in the rear side of the operation plate to block the light moving to the touch sensor. The light shield is printed in a material having a lower light transmission rate than the touch sensor.
