<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nipping preventive mechanism of an automatic door, and its automatic restoration mechanism, safe, simple and also inexpensive, by adopting an non-electric control means. <P>SOLUTION: In this nipping preventive mechanism of the automatic door, a door 1 is installed in two slide mechanisms 2, and can move along a slide rail 3. A door part joint 4 fixed to the door can be joined to or released from a driving part joint 5 fixed to a driving part slide mechanism 6. The driving part slide mechanism drives the door, and can move along the slide rail. Even if the door collides with an obstacle, the driving part slide mechanism and the driving part joint continue the movement in the closing direction of the door. However, when a load applied to the driving part joint exceeds a predetermined value, joining of the door part joint and the driving part joint is released.
