A photovoltaic module includes a laminate consisting of a transparent front cover, one or multiple photosensitive semiconductor layers, a film based on polyvinyl acetal containing plasticizer, and a rear cover. The polyvinyl acetal-based film includes polyvinyl acetal having polyvinyl alcohol content less than 18 wt.% and a creep tendency less than 5 mm after 7 days at 100[deg] C.
