PURPOSE: A pairing method of a space remote controller and an operation method thereof for transmitting and receiving an image display signal according to two or more standards are provided to simply perform a pairing operation with an image display device. CONSTITUTION: A space remote controller transmits a pairing request signal through a frequency channel to an image display(S10). The space remote controller receives the pairing request signal transmitted from the image display corresponding to the pairing request signal(S20). The space remote controller sets up a certain frequency channel to a pairing frequency channel(S30). The space remote controller refers to the information about the stored frequency channel.
