A laryngeal mask airway device comprising an inflatable cuff having a generally toroidal shape and defining a central opening when inflated and an airway tube (410) extending from a proximal end (417) to a distal end (419) and defining an internal passageway (421). The airway tube being connected at its distal end to the inflatable cuff with the internal passageway of the airway tube in communication with the central opening of the inflatable cuff, characterised by a support and/or tabs disposed to resist movement of the cufftoward the central opening when the cuff is inflated.
