PURPOSE: A power reduction apparatus having an excessive voltage protection function by comprising a shunt winding is provided to prevent the occurrence of power loss by supplying an excessive voltage protection function in a case where a conducted voltage is higher than a reference voltage according to voltage magnitude. CONSTITUTION: An input terminal(10) receives external power. An output terminal(20) supplies the power to a load side. A first transformer part(30) comprises a serial winding between the input terminal and the output terminal. A by-pass switching unit(40) is parallely installed for the first transformer part.
