PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a video signal in a rear seat entertainment system are provided to normally operate each monitor when the monitor is connected to a video amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling a video signal in a rear seat entertainment system comprises a video amplifier(11) and a video signal generator. The video amplifier controls the size of the video signal inputted from the video signal generator. The video signal control device comprises a capacitor(12), a monitor output shift, a user control switch(15) and an integrator(14). The capacitor is directly connected to the output side of the video amplifier.
