PURPOSE: An LCD panel and a liquid crystal display for reducing the number of connection terminal of a coordinate detection circuit are provided to reduce the number of coordinate points while using a touch panel function on the liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(3) is formed in a first coordinate detection electrode. A second substrate is arranged in order to face with the first substrate. The second substrate is formed in the opposing electrode. Each X coordinate detection line(19) is installed by a plurality of picture element electrode.
