<p>The invention relates to a method of optimizing an arrangement of supporting point tips (19) on rest elements (17) of a work rest (12) for accommodating an, in particular tabular, workpiece (14) in a machining unit, in which method the workpiece (14) is machined using a cutting beam, wherein data of nesting of at least one finished and residual part (23', 23'', 24) of the at least one allocation of plates to be machined are recorded with respect to a surface geometry of the at least one finished part (23', 23'') and a profile of the cutting gap, and the position and number of supporting point tips (19) are determined and assigned to the rest elements (17), and wherein a position number for fitting in the frame (16) of the work rest (12) is provided at each assigned rest element (17) with at least one supporting point tip (19).</p> |
