The apparatus has a hook (1) that receives a lanyard (5) in an opening (4). A pawl (7) is fixed on an eccentric by an assembling unit. The hook, the pawl and the eccentric are pierced with a hole at which an axle (8) is inserted. The axle permits the pawl and the eccentric to pivot relative to the hook at an angle for permitting release of the lanyard. The eccentric supports a gripping unit with load, where the load is applied to the eccentric along a vertical direction passing through centre of a big circle (21).
