PURPOSE: An electric control system for a vehicle, which can improve the safety of a vehicle, and a control method thereof are provided to compensate the braking power of a vehicle when a brake booster is behaving oddly. CONSTITUTION: An electric control system for a vehicle comprises a first pressure sensor(110), a second pressure sensor(120), a third pressure sensor(130), and an electronic control unit(100). The first pressure sensor senses the vacuum pressure of a brake booster. The second pressure sensor senses the atmospheric pressure. The third pressure sensor senses the brake input of a driver. If braking power compensation control is necessary, the electronic control unit operates a pump, pumps brake fluid, and produces auxiliary braking power. |
