PURPOSE: A ventilation system and a control method thereof are provided to make indoor air fresh by ventilating indoor air and supplying moisture to dried air, simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: A ventilation system comprises a ventilation unit and a humidifying unit(300). The ventilation unit comprises a heat exchanger which exchanges heat between exhaust air and intake air. The humidifying unit comprises a first water container, a second water container, a water supply pipe(370), and a humidification member(310). The first water container and the second water container(330) have different height. The water supply pipe connects the first water container and the second water container. The humidifying unit absorbs water stored in the first water container and the second water container. The first water container is installed on the top of the second water container. The water provided to the first and second water containers, is provided to the first water container.
