PURPOSE: A device and a method for searching audio data of various digital devices like a DVD player including a network function are provided to rapidly search the recording location of audio data, that a user wants, using text data. CONSTITUTION: A device for searching audio data of various digital devices like a DVD player including a network function comprises: a first step of converting the audio data of a recording system(11) into a text data by performing interface with a server connected through a network; a second step of linking the converted text data with the playing time information of audio data and storing searching data; and a third step of searching the audio data of a recording medium referring to the play time information which is in associated with requested text data.
