A screen assembly for a shale shaker for separating particles from a particle laden drilling mud, the screen assembly comprising a screen of undulating mesh comprised of a plurality of alternating ridges and valleys, characterised in that the screen assembly further comprises ridge ends at either end of the plurality of alternating ridges and valleys, each ridge end comprising a plurality of alternating ridges and valleys of mesh having integral moulded seamless portions of mesh covering ends of the ridges wherein slots or notches are cut in the ridge end in order to facilitate moulding.
