PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for searching for an address based on voice recognition technology and an input number are provided to prevent address recognition errors. CONSTITUTION: A voice transmission remote controller(100) transmits the voice information of input voice. A number transmission remote controller(120) transmits the number information of the inputted number. An address search unit(140) searches the address corresponding to the voice information and number information. The address search unit outputs the searched address. If a predetermined event is generated, the address search unit is converted into a mode for receiving the voice information or for receiving number information.
