NOVEL BACTERIAL STRAINS HAVING EXCELLENT PRODUCTION POTENTIAL OF CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID

PURPOSE: A novel strain having conjugated linoleic acid(CLA) activity is provided to suppress carcinogen and to reduce atherosclerosis anesis symptom and body fat. CONSTITUTION: A Bifidobacterium breve IB84 strain(KCCCM 10998P) or Bifidobacterium breve IB52 strain(KCCM 10997P) is isolated from infant feces. A probiotics composition or functional fermented milk composition contains the Bifidobacterium breve IB84 strain(KCCCM 10998P) or Bifidobacterium breve IB52 strain(KCCM 10997P). A conjugated linoleic acid(CLA) is converted from linoleic acid by contacting with Bifidobacterium breve IB84 strain or Bifidobacterium breve IB52 strain. The CLA is c9,t11(C18:2) CLA.
