摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a calibration method for its transmission antenna, that enable reduction in the calibration time or suppression of communication capacity, thereby enabling accurate calibration of a transmission array antenna and can be applicable to an existing system through minimized revamping. SOLUTION: The communication system is provided with a 1st communication station, that has a transmission array antenna for forming a transmission vector signal as a vector, whose components are signals sent from a plurality of element antennas and transmits a plurality of the transmission vector signals which are different from each other from the transmission array antenna and with a 2nd communication station, that receives the transmission vector signals sent from the 1st communication station and transmits the received vector signal to the 1st communication station. The 1st communication station is provided with a weight control means, that determines the optimum weight of the transmission array antenna, on the basis of the vector signal received from the 2nd communication station and the transmission vector signals.
