<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph a best-shot image by automatically specifying a person on the basis of the attribute information of the person whose face is registered, and automatically setting an image quality parameter corresponding to the person. <P>SOLUTION: In photographing, the person's face is detected in an image in a frame to extract the feature data of the face. Subsequently, the extracted feature data are compared to feature data stored in a feature data field 44 of each of face recognition records constituting a face recognition table 40, and the person who is recorded in a face recognition record having the highest similarity is specified as the person of the detected face.
