A porous film comprising a polyolefin resin, and not less than 0.001% by weight and not more than 2% by weight of at least one fatty acid component selected from the group consisting of saturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids and metal salts of saturated or unsaturated fatty acids, the number of the carbon atoms of the fatty acid component being within the range of not less than 12 and not more than 24.
