The medical supply unit has a carrier (17), where a coupling device is formed as a hollow rail (20) with an opening along a longitudinal direction. The hollow rail extends along the carrier, and has an electrically conducting conductor rail. The conductor rail extends along the coupling device in a sectional manner. A mounting rail (21) extends along the coupling device in a sectional manner. An independent claim is also included for an adapter for mounting an attachment at a carrier of a medical supply unit.
