<p>To determine the heating characteristics and type of a heater plug, for diesel motors, a pulse width modulated voltage pulse is applied to it. During the pulse, an electrical value is measured repeatedly and the difference between successive measurements is evaluated to give the heating characteristic. The difference is compared with stored parameters, to give the heater plug type.</p> |
