PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce the thickness of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A heat sink member is arranged in a lower receiving container(170). A plurality of point light sources(131) is arranged in the heat sink member. A plurality of wires(135) applies power to the of point light sources. A light guide plate is contained in the lower receiving container to face the point light sources.
