FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: diagnostic variables are measured and recorded within an operating action complex in a monitoring mode. The measured and recorded variables are compared with the normalised values. The diagnostic variables which have exceeded the normalised values and the related indicators describing resistance to failure reduction are specified. The expected failure time is derived from its estimated dependence in recording the diagnostic variables which have exceeded the normalised level, with using an indicator describing resistance to failure reduction. The expected failure time and excess defect time of the normalized level found in monitoring provide a basis to determine a remaining resource. ^ EFFECT: enabled operative and more objective health estimation of the operated equipment. ^ 1 tbl, 2 dwg
