METHOD FOR PRODUCING BIO-CHEMICALS DERIVED FROM ALGAL BIOMASS

PURPOSE: A method for producing bio chemical material form marine algae is provided to resolve pretreatment problem required in volatile organic acid producing process. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing organic acid from marine algae comprises: a step of performing thermal treatment, physical treatment or chemical treatment of marine algae; and a step of adding microorganism to a solution containing pre-treated marine algae and fermenting to obtain organic acid. The thermal treatment is performed by heating marine algae at 50-200°C; physical treatment is performed by pulverizing or cutting marine algae using a ball mill or knife; and chemical treatment is performed by treating hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid or mixture thereof to marine algae.
